The tutor teaches 28 languages — 454 phrases each, every one written by hand
and checked by a native speaker. It could teach far more. If you speak a language we are
missing, or you can see something we got wrong in one we already have, this is where you fix it.
Nothing you submit goes live on its own. Every submission is read by a person
in the support server before any of it reaches a learner — that is the whole point, and it is
why the curriculum has no machine translation in it anywhere. If your work is accepted, you are
credited by name.
Before you start
Sign in with Discord, so we can credit you and talk to you about your submission.
Join the support server — it is where submissions are reviewed and questions get asked.
Use the two-letter ISO code where there is one — cy for Welsh,
pt-BR for Brazilian Portuguese.
Prefer to work offline, or already have a word list? Download the template, fill in the
translation column, and paste or upload it back. We accept CSV or
tab-separated text, with or without the header row.

A row with no translation is skipped, so answer only what you want to.
What makes a good contribution
Write what people say, not what the English says. If the natural answer is not a
literal translation, give the natural one and say so in the note.
Alternates are accepted answers. Anything you list there will be marked correct for a
learner, so it has to mean the same thing — not merely something close.
Neutral and polite. The phrases are for a stranger in a café, a station, a hotel.
Tell us what you were unsure of. The note field is read. A flagged doubt is far more
useful than a confident guess.
