Lend your voice
In voice calls, Discord Translator can say each translation out loud. Some languages have a natural voice. Others sound robotic, and some have no voice at all, because a good voice is made from hours of one real person reading aloud. If you speak one of those languages, you can help give it a voice.
Languages that need a voice
How each language sounds when the bot speaks it today.
How it works
- Offer your voice hereA two-minute form, signed in with Discord: the language, your accent, your microphone, your time.
- The developer answers on DiscordEvery offer is read by a person, and you get a DM from the bot when it moves.
- You agree on what and how, firstWhat you would read, and the licence the recordings are shared under. Nothing is recorded or published before you agree, and you can still say no.
- You read prepared sentencesIn the voice studio on this site, on your phone or computer, in a quiet room, at your own pace. Your progress is saved after every sentence.
- Your language gets its voiceOnce it sounds right, the bot speaks your language with it, and your name goes on the credits page if you want it there.
Plainly: this is unpaid today. Discord Translator is built and run by one person, and it does not earn enough yet to pay for recordings. If that changes, paid work for the people who give their voices is something we want to offer. Voice offers are for people aged 18 or older.
