Subtitles of your own words on your stream
Viewers who do not speak your language read you as you talk. A private link shows your own words, translated, as subtitles in OBS. Only yours, never anyone else's in the call.
You need
- A Premium plan: your Personal plan works in every server; a Server plan covers everyone in that server.
- OBS, Streamlabs or any app with a Browser source.
Make your link
Pick the language/voice overlaysubtitles_in: Spanishshow: What I say in voice
Voice, typed messages, or both.
Say what you speak/voice languagelanguage: English
So your voice is transcribed.
Copy it from the site
Sign in at discordtranslator.com/overlay. Your secret link is shown only there.
Add it to OBS once
Browser source
Add a Browser source, paste the link, size it 1920 by 1080.
Style it
Size, position, font, colour, lines on screen and the original underneath are all on the overlay page, and reach OBS at once. The link never changes.
While you stream
Captions in a voice channel
For spoken words, the bot must be captioning the call you are in (Live captions and spoken translation in a voice channel).
Check it works
- Speak or type a line: it shows in OBS a second or two later.
If something is off
Someone saw my link.
Press New link on the overlay page: the old one stops at once.
Nothing shows.
Check that the call is being captioned, or for typed lines, that the page is open in OBS.
